Revisiting the Underground Railroad

Join us for 7 ½ months and take a trip on the Underground Railroad! Join Sabrina Smith and Pat Wolfe as they guide you through the story of the Underground Railroad. Learn how fifteen quilt blocks may have played a significant role in communication between the slaves and how it helped them on their way to freedom.

Each class you will get fabric for one of the 15 blocks plus spend a couple hours cutting out the blocks and listening to the story of the Underground Railroad. Take the cut out fabric pieces home and complete then bring back to the next class for show and tell.With the 15 blocks there are multiple layouts that are possible. Let you imagine explore when you have all the blocks completed. 


Class is always the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4:00 – 6:00pm!

Supplies –

·         Please bring to class a rotary cutter, mat, and ruler

·         Quilt in a Day Underground Railroad Sampler book by Eleanor Burns

(Provided at first class – included in class price)

·         Fabric kit for each block (provided at appropriate class – included in class price)
